Our nursery at Askham Bryan has been open since 2002. We have ample car parking and it is in a prime position for easy access to the A64.

We pride ourselves on our long serving, dedicated staff who are friendly and full of enthusiasm for providing the very best in childcare at Askham Bryan Childcare Centre.

Our dedicated team continue to teach many topics and themes that enhance children’s minds, knowledge and experiences - while supporting individual needs, interests and next steps of development, as we work towards Early Years Foundation Stage.

All children learn through play, building and developing confidence, social skills and communication.

We promote all aspects of child development in a fun, caring, safe and stimulating environment.

We play games inside and outside practicing sharing, taking turns and listening skills.

We encourage children to take risks safely which helps build independence and confidence.

We promote physical activities which we believe is necessary to stimulate learning in all other areas.

We also encourage children to sit and finish what they are doing as this promotes self confidence and self esteem.

We work with York University to accommodate training for teaching and nursery staff. We also work with training companies for apprenticeships.
