We have 2 outdoor play areas and an undercover area which we use come rain or shine as fresh air is so important to learning.
The outdoor play areas include:
A mud kitchen, pirate ship, bikes, large play house and scooters. Digging and growing areas.
Our resident cook is qualified to level 2 standard and we hold a level 5 food hygiene certificate. All meals are freshly prepared on site everyday. We also offer a winter and summer menu.
We provide a wide variety of food tastes and textures, fresh fruit and vegetables, to help children develop healthy eating habits.
We cater for individual dietary needs and work with parents to ensure your child is happy.
The nursery is divided into units;
The Baby Units - for children aged three months to two years,
The Primary Units - for children aged two years to school age.
All children will work towards the Early Years Foundation Stage. Each age group provide age related activities in each session which gives children stimulating experiences while having fun.
Continuous toys and games are available at all times to promote continuity for all. Which allows children to continue and practice skills and experiences in their own time.

Meet our fabulous team, many of which have been long serving with Askham Bryan Childcare Centre. Having the right staff is essential for every nursery. So we ensure our carers are carefully selected and qualified or experienced in childcare. All of our team are 1st Aid trained and hold current DBS checks. Our Nursery Managers and Supervisors are qualified to level 3 and above and the ratio of staff to children complies with Ofsted National Standards guidelines - view our Ofsted report here.
